Are you the new Davina McCall?

WE NEED A TV PRESENTER!

Are you the next Davina McCall ? Ben Fogle? or even David Attenborough?

If you think so then we could help bump start your career ...

We're looking for a presenter for Potters Bar Carnival TV. The winner, chosen by the public, will present a series of videos in the build up to the event, produced by VideoandTV.co.uk, who have been making TV and corporate videos for over 20 years. We'll need you to spare us just a few days in the upcoming months, and we can work around your availability.

We can't pay the winner, but we certainly can provide a great experience and produce a showreel that you can use to get you started.

Simply record a 2 minute sample of your presenting and interviewing style, (on your phone is fine!) and post it onto YouTube, then send us a link to it  using this contact form (don't forget your contact details!)

explin entry

Tips for entering:

Using a phone is absolutely fine, however, try to find a spot that's not too noisy. The microphone on your phone will be a long way away, so recording on the side of the road with passing traffic will make it difficult hear what you're saying. A quiet back garden, or even inside will work best.

Keep it short and know what you're saying .... The first piece need only be a short introduction to yourself, talking straight into the camera, and showing us a little of your personality, at this stage what you're saying doesn't need to be true!  eg "Hi and welcome to Potters Bar Carnival TV. I'm Karen and I'm going to be your host for a short while and give you a glimpse of just some of the great attractions you can expect at this years carnival....  I'm a big fan of live music and we have 4 bands lined up this year plus a marching band and even some hula hoopers so watch out for that!... don't forget to like our facebook page for regular updates as we make them .... "

The second piece should be a short interview with a family member, friend or colleague, start by talking to the camera to tell us who they are, and then ask them 2 or 3 questions that are likely to produce interesting answers .... "What do you think are the benefits of living in Hertfordshire?" "What would be your ideal holiday and why?" "Tell me something about yourself that I would never guess in a million years"

Once you have the footage upload it to YouTube and send us a link along with all of your contact details, using this contact page. If you're not sure how to do that then there are many tutorials online explaining how to do this, simply google "How to upload a video to YouTube from my phone". Here's the official Google guide for this

Good Luck!
